Motion Graphics

Color

This was just a fun idea that my mother came up with, and I ran with it. I wanted to have a decent size “motion” piece that showed off my illustration work and of course the motion graphic knowledge I have learned over the years. What started out as a simple idea of having colors fly across the scene turned into what a kid’s sketchbook would have in it with all sorts of different “mediums” used. I designed all of the tool’s off their real world counterparts and animated them in After Effects. I also recorded every sound effect with the real “school” supplies I had at home.

Dairyfarm Productions Logo

This is the full logo and animation I created for my personal work and portfolio in hopes of giving my artwork some branding. The “Dairyfarm” name is something I have used for years, and thought this would be a great time to continue it.

FUSE Compendium Reel 2024

This was the compendium reel for FUSE 2024. Every year Bradley University has a big event showing off games, animations, and UI/UX work from the students in the interactive media department. The compendium that I worked on is a collection of all the students (roughly 350) personal work that they would like to showcase. So I take their work and put it in a presentable showcase with the event’s theme in the background. The theme for FUSE 2024 was carnival. (All the art that is shown other than the video is other student’s work, not mine).

FUSE Compendium Reel 2025

After I graduated I was asked to make the compendium reel for FUSE 2025. Just like the previous years compendium reel it is a showcase of roughly 350 student’s personal work. This year’s theme was camping. (All the art that is shown other than the video is other student’s work, not mine).

FUSE 2023 Logo

Before I was tasked with making the FUSE compendium reels I was on the 2023 art production team. We were in charge of making all the artwork and coming up for the themes for the event. From t-shirts to flyers, the logo’s for the majors and many more. While I had my hand in all of those things I was tasked with making a little animation for the main FUSE logo. While the animation is limited I was apart of the creative process for making the logo.

2D Animation

2D Animation

This was a rotoscoped “skate video” I made for a freshman year final assignment. The rotoscoped videos were from mostly videos I found online and one video I recorded of me skating.

Skate

This was the first 24 hour animation contest I was apart of through Bradley University. The theme for this year was “something that only animation can do”. After lots of workshopping our group decided to go into the horror route with animation. I helped with parts of the animation and of course the ideation as well as helping with designs and backgrounds.

24 Hour Animation Contest 1

This was the second and last 24 hour animation contest I was apart of through Bradley University. This year’s theme was “sacrifice”. Our group was going for a more personal/emotion sacrifice. The idea was that yellow was sacrificing their time to help red, but in turn caused yellow to loose herself especially with red not returning the favor in the end. Like the previous year I helped with some of the animation and the backgrounds, but on top of that I composited everything for the final video.

24 Hour Animation Contest 2

This was part of an attempted short from two different classes; the first being storyboarding and the second being another animation class. Linked below are the storyboards and script. While I never got the full thing finished it was supposed to be about two roommates going to get tacos when all of a sudden their dog ate a taco and started talking. This was my first time really collaborating with someone outside my field as I got a fellow student who was getting a degree in audio help with the voice recording and the overall sound mixing.

Stop Motion

Father To Son

(Senior Film)

This is full stop motion short film that I made for my senior capstone. We start working on ideation for our films second semester junior year. However since I transferred to Bradley my credit’s and 4 year plan were sort of messed up so I hade one semester less to get my film finished. The idea for my film was just a sweet moment between a father and a son on a “boys” camping trip with them bonding over a song that the dad plays on his guitar.

Motion Tests

Crouch walk cycle

This was a specialized walk cycle based off an actual walk cycle of our own choosing, as long as we acted it out.

Block pick up

Amy Greenspan wanted us to really exaggerate a simple action. I choose picking up a block.

Both of these motions tests were optional for Bradley students. On two separate occasions people who work for Laika came to talk to us about them in the industry, and give us a little demonstration and help on stop motion animation.

Lego Typewriter

Over a few years, and multiple moves I was slowly working on a stop motion build of a Lego typewriter. However at some point I completely lost the Lego box and partial build with it. I am still hoping it will show up some day, but for now this is was I was able to get done.

Collection of models from OSF Internship

From the summer of 2023 to the summer of 2024 I was interning/working for OSF healthcare in their Jump division. We were tasked with creating educational way to show different fields in the healthcare industry besides just “doctor” and “nurse”. There were two separate/but together parts of this project. The first being video interviews with the healthcare specialist talking about their job and what they do. The second, which I was more in charge of spearheading, was the VR interactive portion. Lots of kids are more hands on learners so I was tasked with creating experiences for each health field we went over. The goal was to have the kids do activities in a VR space that would be akin to what that healthcare person would do during a typical day. For example and EMT specialist would use a defibrillator as well as EpiPens. These are just a handful of some of the models I created for the VR element.

We were tasked with creating a walk cycle in Maya, and with me being a big Looney Tunes fan Elmer Fudd came directly to mind.

Diner scene

This was over a few in class activities for 3D modeling. The professor was wanting us to make multiple different objects over a few weeks, and at the end we were going to make a scene. I wanted to make a diner, so I made as many items as I could to try and fill in the room and make it feel alive. Objects include, bar chairs, booths, tables, cutlery, dishes, diner building, and a jukebox

ZBrush Bobby Hill

Another class with the focus on learning how to use Zbrush. The professor wanted us to take any preexisting 2D character and make them 3D. With Kill of the Hill being my favorite modern day cartoon, I of course made the one and only Bobby Hill
